Carter was out to the house a few days ago and took these pictures mostly of the detail and prep work of the interior. Everything is looking great!
Below is the Parlour wall with the dining room beyond
The demising wall between the second floor bedrooms was in poor shape so it was easier to re-frame it, and take the framing all the way to the peak of the roof, since these rooms won't have ceilings.
The framing of the wall up to the peak
Everything is wired and ready for the switches and lights
The north wall of the north bedroom. Good view of one of the King Post Trusses that will be left exposed in the room.
The view out of the north bedroom windows looking down at the bathroom addition.
This is the location of a small light that will illuminate the stairs from the second floor. There will be three in the stairs.
More of the lights at the stairs. There will also be a hanging fixture over the stairs.
Bank of toggle switches at the front door. It's so odd to see anything electrical in the house.
Looking through the kitchen window where the sink will be, into the back hall.
This is looking from the kitchen into where the old pantry was. You will take one step down to this platform, turn and step down again to the back hall. The hole in the floor is the laundry chute. A built-in bench will be above it with a lid, in front of a window that is to the left, not seen in this photo. The floor boards are salvaged from the front bedroom.
The same platform looking west. Beautiful floor. It will be painted.
North wall of the main floor bathroom. The vanity will be centered on this wall.
The mechanical/ storage room
This is where the washer and dryer will go, under the stairs in the lower level bathroom.
The shower stall for the lower level bathroom to the right. The walls of the shower will be ceramic tile as well as the entire bathroom floor.
Nice to see the snow is gone. Looks dry, and the garage is still hanging on. Thanks Carter
