Mom, Dad and I took a drive out to Cape Bear on the 24th, and we visited the lighthouse. The bank eroded quite a lot since we were there last year. The lighthouse is now dangerously close to the edge.
We then took a drive along the shore and stoped in at Rossignol Winery, my forst time ever. We got some rhubarb strawberry wine and it was pretty great.
We then went out to Wood Islands. They are doing a lot of work at the harbour opening. We saw that the little lighthouses were missing, but they have been moved up by the old lighthouse and repaired. I suppose they will stay here and new lights on poles will be placed at the harbour mouth.
The next day was the Fisheries Festival parade through the River. It was raining all day, and they thought it was going to be cancelled, but it stopped raining just long enough for the parade. In the 38 years of the parade it has never been canceled, and the record still holds.
Here it comes!
I love a Galaxie. Nelson Moore, Johnny's grandson, was driving.
