On the Saturday Loreen, Danny and Ralta showed up at the house so we took them on a tour and headed up the hill to have lunch at the cafe. Then Janice, James, Sarah, Michael and Lawrence arrived at the cafe too and we caught up over lunch and we filled the place. We went back to the house and gave a tour. Lois came by too. Then Janice, Sarah, James, Michael, Lawrence and I went to Hopefield for our yearly inspection of Jimmy Smith's house, the house that was built by my great-great grandfather James MacDonald and where my grandfather was born in 1909. It has been empty since Jimmy Smith died in July of 1978. It has declined a lot over the past winter. We always wonder if it will still be standing the next year, and this time I don't think it will be.
Michael did a little car shopping
It was really great to see everybody
More on the trip to come
