No really, THIS is the final design

Here's the thing. The last design meant cutting a big hole in the dining room floor to make room for a stair to the basement, with an external stair at the back. I realized that if I enclose the stair on the back, I don't have to cut up the dining room. Make sense?

We have the building permit now. Things are going to start to happen very soon.

Took a long time to make it simple!

Below are images from the 3D model of the house. The design has been simplified. The larger new living room will not be added at this time, but the bathroom addition will still be built on the back. The original cellar hatch will be reconstructed on the east side, and a new stair will be inserted under the main interior stair, to access the basement from inside. The windows will have operable shutters for security. Each image below has 2 versions, to show how the house will look with the shutters closed and open.

Loreen sent me a birthday card with some pictures from July, below. Thanks Loreen! I am still waiting on the results of the third well water test and once I get that, work can begin again. First item of business will be the foundation.
